National Ron Wiebe Restorative Justice Award

The Correctional Service of Canada’s (CSC) Restorative Justice Division is pleased to announce that it is accepting nominations for the 2015 National Ron Wiebe Restorative Justice Award. This award was established in honour of the late Ron Wiebe, former CSC Warden, for his outstanding commitment and leadership in the field of restorative justice.

The award is open to all Canadians and is presented annually to an individual who meets the following criteria:

  1. Models restorative justice principles in the service of justice and peace; and
  2. Demonstrates, through their work or lifestyle, ways of transforming human relations by enabling and promoting communication and healing between people in conflict, be they victims, offenders, colleagues, families or neighbours.

The 2015 award will be presented at the National Restorative Justice Symposium Banquet on November 16, 2015.
